6 Various options
6.1 Laser tool measurement
6.1.1 Overview
The BLUM laser system is a highly accurate optical measurement device that can monitor the tool condition of the machining center and perform automatic tool measurement under actual machining conditions. Measuring the geometric dimensions of cutting tools can promptly identify incorrect replacement or inaccurate preset tools, as well as tool damage or wear. This can prevent damage to the workpiece or subsequent cutting tools in a timely manner.
6.1.2 Main components

6.1.4 Safety precautions
Be sure to avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Provide safety education to all employees working on machine tools, recognizing the dangers of direct laser exposure to the eyes or long-term exposure to the skin.
Never observe laser rays, including using optical instruments.
6.1.5 Maintenance
6.1.5.1 Overview of maintenance work
- Check the pressure on the pressure gauge.
- Check whether the pre-filter, fine filter and activated carbon filter are dirty.
- Replace filter
Check pressure on pressure gauge
Prerequisite
- The compressed air pipeline has been connected.
Work flow
- Pull the pressure regulator forward in order to unlock.
- Check the pressure of 3 bar on the pressure gauge and adjust the pressure regulator again if necessary.
- Turn the pressure regulator to the right (pressure drop increases).
- Turn the pressure regulator to the left (pressure drops).
- Press the pressure regulator inward to lock.
- The pressure has been checked.
Check if the filter is dirty
Work flow
- Check if the activated carbon filter is dirty by looking at the color of the indicator ring.
- White: All filters work normally.
- Blue: The coarse filter, fine filter and activated carbon filter must be replaced.
- The activated carbon filter has been checked for dirt.
Replace filter
1 Cover 2 O-ring 3 Activated carbon filter 4 Shut-off valve
5 Pre-filter 6 Ultra-precision filter 7 Container 8 Float valve
Ensure the correct position of the O-ring (2) when disassembling the cover (1) and container (7), and replacing the active carbon filter (3) and fine filter (6).
Ensure the correct position of floating valve (8).
Prerequisite
- The power cut-off device has been switched off and locked with a padlock.
- The color of the indicator ring is shown in blue.
Required Tools/Materials
- Activated Carbon Filter
- Ultra Fine Filter
- Pre-filter
Work flow
- Press down the slider on the cutoff valve (4).
- Unscrew the cover (1) and replace the active carbon filter (3).
- Screw the container (7) with the floating valve (8) and clean.
- Replace coarse filter (5) and fine filter (6).
- Screw the container (7) on.
- In order to find the level sight glass position forward, the filter tank (7) can be loosened by half a turn to one turn, if necessary.
- Open the shut-off valve (4) and check the function of the laser measuring system.
- The filter has been replaced.
6.2 Infrared measurement probe(OMP60)
6.2.1 Overview
OMP60 is an optical machine tool probe suitable for large and medium-sized machining centers and turning and milling composite centers. This product has the ability to resist optical interference, false triggering, and vibration.
6.2.2 Main components
- Clamping cone(schematic representation),matchedwith your machine tool clamping system
- Infrared receiver on the spindle box
- The measuring probe is clamped in the knife clamp
- Emitter diode
6.2.3 Application
A three coordinate measurement probe (3) with a clamping cone and optical measurement data transmission is used for workpiece measurement,
- Used to align the center of the spindle axis hole or shaft head,
- Used for plane alignment,
- Used for positioning the axis of the work spindle relative to the edge of the workpiece.
6.2.4 Safety
The OMP60 is equipped with two non rechargeable AA alkaline batteries.
The non rechargeable AA battery of Cyprinium Sulfide Cool Chlorine can also be used for OMP60.
The carp battery must comply with the IEC 62133 standard. After the battery is depleted, do not attempt to charge the battery.
The symbol shown in illustrations 8-8 on the battery used in this product indicates that the battery must be recycled and disposed of separately from household waste in accordance with the requirements of the EU Battery Directive 2006/66/EC. Please contact the relevant local government departments for specific battery recycling rules, as proper disposal of waste batteries can help prevent adverse effects on the environment and human health.
6.2.5 Maintenance
1 Battery compartment cover 2 AA-battery
6.2.5.1 Overview of maintenance work
- Replace the battery.
- Clean measuring probes.
- Please check the cables and connectors.
Replace battery
After long-term storage of lithium-ion batteries, a passivation layer (in the internal surface layer) is formed on the surface of lithium-ion batteries, which will reduce the voltage to less than 3.0 V (standard voltage 3.6 V).
This passivation layer will automatically disintegrate when this cell bursts against an object on the side device wall.
Be careful not to damage the seal when removing the battery cover!
Pay attention to the correct polarity when inserting new batteries.
Prerequisite
- LED light-emitting diodes are often bright red lights.
- The measurement cycle is over.
Required Tools/Materials
- 2 lithium-ion batteries (3.6 V)
Process
- Loosen the set screws and remove the battery compartment cover.
- Remove old batteries and recycle them according to environmental regulations.
- Install new batteries.
- Slightly apply oil or grease containing silicone on the seal.
- Install the battery compartment cover and fix the fixing screws.
- The battery has been replaced.
- cleansing
Pollutants, chips, or liquids may negatively affect signal transmission.
Prerequisite
- The measuring probe is not in the machining spindle.
Required Tools/Materials
- Cleaning Rags
Process
- Cleaning the measuring probe from the outside with a dry or damp cleaning cloth.
- The measurement probe has been cleaned. Check the cables and connectors
Prerequisite
