20.1 Introduction
The SYIL X and T machines are vertical machining centers that can mill, drill, thread and bore under CNC (Computer Numerical Control) control. (They fall under Group 3 of the definitions in ISO 16090-1).
20.2 Areas of use
There are many different areas in which machines in the X and T series can be employed.
High precision parts for virtually all sectors of industry can be produced or finished.
The main areas of use lie in fine mechanics, optics, medical technology, computertechnology, for the manufacture of hydraulic and pneumatic components and parts for the automobile and aircraft industries. The machines can also be used in entertainment electronics manufacture, the ball-bearing Industry, for the manufacture of articles for daily use and luxury articles such as watches or writing utensils, in toolmaking or also in Research and Development and training.
